If you haven't been to our blog before, Welcome and if you have, Welcome Back! This blog is a fun extension to our full time jobs with Cherry Valley Designs. Cherry Valley Designs was established last summer after I, Megan, finished grad school and decided to follow my dream of owning my own quilt company. We are still a small company, but are looking forward to continued growth in the future. This blog is not only a place where we share business related info - be sure to check back next week for our Early Spring collection of patterns (!) I am just bursting to share! - we also share goodies from our everyday life including our menagerie of five dogs and one cat that keep us on our toes; original recipes; and any other thing that sways us - knitting; favorite things; plants ... you get the idea!
Be sure to keep up with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest too! On Facebook and Twitter we share interesting tidbits and one of our most popular features "Inspiration Wednesday" where we give an inspiring quote to help make it through the rest of the week ... I think we all could use a little inspiration at that point in the week ;)
And of course be sure to check out our shop where you can find all of our patterns (available in PDFs) and our new kit!
To get started with our Spring debut of patterns we have "The Essential Bed Quilt." This pattern is available in three size choices: Twin; Full/Queen; and King. I wanted to make a quilt that would be timeless and could easily be used in a variety of bedroom styles, thus "The Essential Bed Quilt" was born!
Our giveaway includes the pattern for "The Essential Bed Quilt" along with a fat quarter bundle containing 9 prints!

ReplyDeleteI love the spring, but here in Tx I'm not so keen on the summer it can be waaaaaay too hot for me. I also love the fall. The weather is finally cool enough for me to enjoy the outdoors. I always say, well why can't it be like this all year long? And then winter is back again and it is just too cold for me to enjoy the outdoors, but I know that others have it far worse than I do with all the snow. I try not to complain too severely. I stay inside and enjoy my quilting. What more can we do?

Honestly my favourite is spring but I don't wish to wish my life away a season at a time so I find the beauty in each season. It is just turning Autumn here in Australia and I am hoping for enough dry weather that I can take photo's of my daughter in the Autumn leaves when they turn. I am teaching myself to make her Flannel PJ pants with French seams ready for Winter. Each season has it's own beauty.

I dislike winter so much that I packed up and moved to get away from it. We still get a "winter" on southern Vancouver Island, but it is nothing like what we endured on the prairies. It's more like a really long chilly spring. Still, I'm relieved to see the first snowdrops peek out in January, and love to watch real spring unfold. Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity.
ReplyDeleteWell, actually, I love autumn the best! Definitely not a summer person, I burn very easily and get hives when I'm in the sun. I don't mind the rain and cold as long as there's no icy roads.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the seasons, not sure which is my favorite. Each one makes me happy! Thanks for the chance at an awesome giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI like bright winter days with blue sky but after a very rainy spring, summer and autumn in 2012 the arrival of spring will be very welcome this year. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI have lived in the southern states of NV,southern VA and Florida for the last 25 years. In January we oved to northern Pennsylvania. What a shock to your system! It was 65 degrees when we left, and 10 hours later when we arrived it was 30 degrees. It's snowed every week we've been here so far. I've found I don't mind the cold (I bought a great jacked on clearance before we moved), and I love watching it snow. But I still don't like to drive in it. So I am very much looking forward to spring for some warmer weather and drier streets. Thanks for such a great giveaway.
